That would be amazingly fun. ^^

The biggest problem with Quarry is: It is reached after Aspenwood in PvE. That lead to a vicious circle of more people being in Aspenwood, therefore less people going to Quarry, etc, till noone was at Quarry. Btw, that happened very early on, the last time I remember Quarry being full was in beta (and it used to be more fun than Aspenwood ...).

Why are those NPCs not in the guildhalls, maybe people would notice them.

I've been wondering that ever since they first appeared.

1- too many leechers

2- too many bots

3- not enouth real people

4- not enouth reward comparing to AB and relating to time spend waiting for a game to start

5- most people who make PVP only characters are either testing a build (RA, AB) or gettin ready for HA or GvG

What Maria said, and heres a screenie showing why people dont bother with it, as this is a common sight, and you'll normally find it's Kurzicks on Luxon teams and Vice Versa in a bid to make the outcome of the game in their favour by making whatever team short of players.

This is the number one thing that i dislike about GW.

Why haven't they dealt with leechers? It's easy, and there are a lot of different solutions.

Also, it would be best, if there was a link to FA / JQ on the PvP isle, it's just dumb to have to enter the capital there, and then talk to an NPC, instead of just having a quick icon for it.

Because the reward you get is pve faction which you can only spend in House zu Heltzer/Cavalon, I don't have that place so I can't spend the faction I earn anyway... (Not that I want to, cause you'll only get Amber/Jadeite and Alliance faction for it, not interesting for pvpers)

Actually I'm on the opposite side of the fence on this. The randomness is what makes Aspenwood fun for me. Organized teams would kill the fun factor for casual PVP players like myself. I want to be able to bring whatever class and whatever skill set I feel like playing and then get into a game quickly. Aspenwood and RA are the only two places I can do this. Aspenwood was designed as PVP "lite" and as another enticement to get more players to PVP. In my case it worked as I hadn't really touched PVP prior to Aspenwood. Still won't get me to play in TA, HA, or GVG as those areas are too restrictive for my play style. All in all there are several forms of PVP available and each caters to a different subset of players. Let them be and don't mess with them. Everyone has their own preference on what they want to play.

It wouldn't take much effort for ANet to put up a sign of some sort. New pvp players do not magically know about Fort Aspenwood, or the Jade Quarry.

OK Here I am with 3 characters which have finished factions....

And not ONCE have I played Jade Quarry from either Luxon or Kurzick sides.
I have no idea what it's like!
Every single time I've been there I've waited to 10 mins listening to "no opposing party joined, restarting counter"

What a waste Anet.

For FA I do sometimes do it but only as part of PVE quest, once I have my 10000 faction I stop...
If it was organized party instead of random I don't think I'd do it at all.

This area is not for serious PVP - This is for PVE players to dabble in PVP and force them to try it - some percentage may even like it.

It's a good ploy but Jade Quarry is just a waste of space - along with half of the outposts further down the map, they're basically empty and serve only as a checkpoint - you'll never get a group together for questing - there's no critical mass.

getting 10k faction is easy in AB.

people who leech, by my reasoning, must be from the opposite faction working on getting the 10k without doing any quests for it (its much quicker just to quest it)

Ive been to jade quarry once. FA is fun sometimes, but I often forget its even there.

Hell, if ANet put up a neon sign in the beginning of AB that said "HEY NOOB YOU CAN SEE ALL THE SHRINES ON YOUR "U MAP" JUST BY ZOOMING IT OUT AND STICKING IT IN A CORNER" then Id be happy.

But then again- lots of people dont even know the U map exists and are perplexed on what i mean by 'zoom it out'.

Its a vicious cycle though- back to FA/JQ- Leechers make it not fun. I stop playing. Empty mission. No one plays.

Leechers amaze me. How little can you possibly do to enjoy this game any less?

Maybe if they made a change to the 10k Quests it would help. Forced faction farming is what started leeching. Make them do the quests and get 10 luxon totems or 10 kurzick (whatever they use) things.

Another thing id like to see is the Challenge Missions (aka zos chivos) have pvp access. I have only ever gotten to play those a few times each, and for the past 2 months its been impossible to find a group no matter what class Im playing... ass monk tank rit nuker whatever and ppl just dont play. Good thing I saved the screenshot of my assassin's team covering the Daily Top 10 back when I first started playing Factions cuz Ill probably never get to play them again no matter how bad i want to.

Zos Chrivos Channel is one of the coolest things Factions has- and what do people do in that town? SSa Farm... Like anyone needs one of those. Pathetic.

And this is the biggest reason I don't play there anymore. Inconsiderate leechers (afkers or cartos, same difference) suck the fun out of it, doesn't matter which side they're are on. Its gotten to the point now where my alliance just leaves if we see more than one carto on each side. They don't help us during the critical start, so we sure as hell aren't going to help them.

FA sucks, bugs everywhere. Stuck turtles, inmobile Luxon armies, sore winner bonders, quitters, leechers, bugged commanders, non stationary gate keepers, sore winner touch rangers, stanceRED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO wammos, assasins that get killed in 2 spikes (lack of max armor level)...Am I missing something?

But it's so fun to play it

I love the fort Aspenwood that nobody yelling at you what to do.And they are good for gaining both Balthazzar and Faction point due to tremendous death rate (NPC do give you rewards for the kill).

A real good crownd repeling method.I agree that leecher is a ploblem.Who want to enjoy random PvP misson when your team or your enemy become a dummy targets.
Maybe Anet should invent a penetly system for leecher and bot on these area already.Maybe impovre it,since it already cut your reward in half when other side quitting(due to leeecher)

Also.Fort aspenwood need some balance tweak. You can still see some invincible monk dancing around the turtles. Enjoy watcing resistance being squash by their pet.

Maybe attacker might need to run amber too if they want a new turtle spawn.
